Help what can you do to a Ford f350 1957

Hi every one i live in the uk and i own a ford f350 1955 fire truck camper but i possible have the chance to buy a 1957 ford f350 totally different shape its the flat bonnet hood as you call them.It has the six lug wheels a straight six engine. What i would like to know is can any other wheels fit it.Is it possible to lower it.Could a different engine bolt to the original gearbox. How about swapping the front clip. What could be done to it to make it look and drive better.Thank you

If it's a fridge, it's already the best looking truck out there! :)Sounds like you should almost wait to find an f 100 if you want modern wheels, lowered etc. They come that way already. Believe me, those kinds of mods and different engine is a ton of work and not much out there for 57-60 for aftermarket parts, then add that it's an f350.... That makes it an orphan among orphans. If you insist on buying it, read my thread called 'kinda like a hot rod' as it addresses some of what you want and search about 6 lug conversions and 17.5 tubeless wheels and get ready to do some research and shipping. For the wheel stuff, look mostly for stuff from 'truckdog' as he's the resident expert in that area. Best of luck whichever way you go. Just a warning, dabbling in the darkside can be dangerous, and it usually starts with 'just one little sip'........:-jammin don't ask me how I know.
