What's she worth?

'76 390, 4spd.

May have to let it go here soon... Picked it up this summer with the intent of going through the entire truck. Hospital bills are getting in the way right now.

Any idea on what I should tag this thing at? I went through all the drivetrain seals, new clutch, rear main seal, u-joints. 100% redone electrical with centech stuff. 42" pitbull rockers still with the nipples on the tread. New edelbrock, starter, alternator. She's not done, nor close to restored condition but completely functional. Just seeing what you guys thought.

I am sure the tires are worth about as much as some trucks. Don't know where you are located. If you were in the rust belt it would be worth a lot for not much rust. I guess more info on location would help on the price.

Make a good carport to park my mustang vert under i guess, ha ha, no just kidding. I don't know what dollar figure to throw at you as I'm not in to big tire jacked up trucks. The body looks real good and if it was down like it came from Ford i would be real interested. Just my $.02 worth.---:)

I agree, A jacked up truck sure narrows the buyer market, but it isn't necessarily devalued. It is just less desireable, I feel in my neck of the woods in CO it might bring 3 possibly 4 if it is clean. If it is a factory ac truck add to that. If the ac still works add more. It seems that people are spending money on these old trucks to have a cheap truck that they can build and drive and doesn't eat their lunch in payments, insurance, and costly repairs. All of a sudden a nickel and a dime here and ther aren't too bad. However, people see the lift and can't justify that as a driver so they automatically don't want it, just my thoughts and from what I have seen looking, buying and selling all over the country on CL and the like. Good luck. I had a guy call me from norhtern CA wanting the last 79 I had because he was tired of the people'srepublic of CA harrassing him about his 08 powerstroke emissions, so he said he would sell that and had a way to get around the emissions on a gas truck. He even went as far to register his truck in a different county where his friend lived to avoid the harsh regulations.

i know in my area of east texas during mudbog season that truck would probably bring about $4000-$5000 because of all the guys gettin excited over those mudbogs and wantin a bigger street legal 4x4 to terrorize the towns with.

I would say you could get between 4 and 6 grand, of course depending where you are located. I would say close to 6 in Georgia, and probably not take long to sell.

Well not to sure what trucks go for up in "Wa", in that shape, but it looks and reads nice enough to guess start at 5K+ with all the work put into it???

Tires/rims were probably 1500 ++ I am sure ?

Is the moter tight and how is the body rust wise in all the typical places?

Hope for the best for you $ wise.....
