Help with my 1936 Ford 1.5 ton truck
Hi all,
I have just purchased my 2nd Vintage Ford truck. I have owned my 1940 Ford 1.5 ton Stake Body truck for 3 years now and just picked up my second truck. The second truck is supposed to be a 1936 Ford 1.5 ton Stake Body truck. My question to you all is. What is this VIN number - BB I 8 2532750. The truck is all apart and needs a total restoration. The only number I have found was on the left frame rail just in front of the cab. It just doesn't match any 1936 numbers that I've researched. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Steve |

Steve what I found is the range for the 36 Truck VIN's 18-2,207,111 to 18-3,331,856 The 1 stamped back then looks like an I but is really a 1. Its a V-8 Truck too. The BB and 18 tell us that and the VIN Range says its a 1936 Pretty sure that should be the 21 Stud engine. 24 Stud started in late 1937 I was actually looking for a 1936 1 1/2 ton or larger truck but now decided on another project 1st. I will try to find the frame VIN pics of the one I looked at to compare. I would love to see some pics of this truck you are looking at. R |
Here is the VIN from truck I looked at along with the truck/wrecker. Wanted it really bad but the 90+yr old owner just would not budge on price.
