1997 F350 dually tire choices? or super single?
Hi, my name's Travis and I have a '97 F350 460 5 speed 2wd dually and it gets stuck real easy. I'd like to go to a larger, wider all terrain front and rear. I have a few questions and am looking for any advice.
1) What's the largest tire I can run with out spacers on the back and a lift in the front? 16" wheel 2) What budget oriented all terrain can anyone recommend? 3) Is there a such thing as a super-single setup for these trucks? I've been looking at 235/85/16 Federal Couragia Mud Terrains (LR-e) Thanks in advance for the help! http://i528.photobucket.com/albums/d...207_115655.jpg |
You could prolly do a 255/85/16 which is a 33/9.50 ish tire. As for a super single you will have a hard time finding a wide tire for a 16" wheel that has a good load rating.

all depends, what are you getting stuck in. Mud,snow, or? many times more floatation make you get stuck easier, unless you go to a much more aggressive tire. are tire chains an option?

we're talking in the dirt on flat ground...

I wouls stick with the stock size LRE tire, just may be get something a bit more agressive....may be try adding a little weight to the bed when you feel the need to go off road...

I run Michelin ltx ms2. They are a good all around tire except MUD. They are quiet and durable in my opinion. They are a little expensive but they worked so well on my last truck that I bought 6 for my dually....
