Need help with a part - seat recliner lever.
I have to replace the seat recliner lever - at least I think it's called something like that. The truck is an '04 XLT. It is the second row seat, passenger side. I am looking for the "vertical" lever that is on the side of the seat back - when you pull it it leans the seat back forward and slides it to the front.
it is the "40" of the 60/40 split. I called the dealership and it is a $76 part - unbelievable. Hopefully I explained it right - if not, I can post a picture. Any help would be appreciated. Junkyards could be an option, but kind of a PITA. Thanks! |
No ideas??

Salvage yard. Unless you can find someone parting one out.

I'll post a pic of the diagram in a few minutes...en you can get the part number and check with Tousley Ford or Horizon Ford ("PartsGuyEd" worked there). |

Just the plastic peice -the 613E34.
Thanks for posting the diagram! |
Where did you get the part sheet attached? It shows the 613E34 attached as a price of $27.37 - I have called two different local dealerships and keep getting costs in the $75 range. Which sounds like highway robbery to me.

I am also looking for this. Stealership quoted me $68 plus tax. 613E34 says its for the right side so I take that as passenger side. Correct? Where can I get this part?
If the stealership is quoting so much more, ask them (preferably with a line of people behind you) why they are doubling or tripling the price as compared to buying the part directly from Ford. Ask loud enough and watch the people behind you leave the parts line and enjoy the look on the parts manager's face as he loses business. :-jammin |
Funny, I am missing this part on one of my rear seats too.

That diagram and part was listed on the Official Ford Parts Site | Buy Motorcraft & OEM Ford Parts Online | FordParts.com web site.

I am not sure if I am looking at the same one from your diagram. |

I think the cheap part was the black plastic handle...the more expensive part I think is the entire handle/cable assembly. |

When you go to Official Ford Parts Site | Buy Motorcraft & OEM Ford Parts Online | FordParts.com, How do you search? I usually search by Model > 2004 > Ford > Excursion then Search. I then I just enter 613E34 as a part number. Is this the correct method?
