The aft axle was offered to the pick-up body trucks? Thought that was a chassis cab thing only?:-huh Learned something new today.

At the top of the page, under the Ford Truck Enthusiasts header, there is a row of titles.
One of them is Articles/Specs.
Click on it and scroll down to 2005 - Superduty.

You should be able to find what you need in there somewhere.

I don't have a link to the source manual, but I don't see anything about an aft axle tank for the F250/350 in the pdf document. Still looking

F250/F350 Fuel capacity (gal)

29.0 gallons with 141.8, 156.2 wheelbase;
38.0 gallons 137, 158 and 172.4 wheelbase

hotrodracer 03-10-2012 01:54 PM

143.9 liters

Yep, 143.9 liters in my '05 F350 lwb cc dually tank. Or for us Americans that is 38 gallons.

What trucks had the 40 gallon aft tank? I suppose the mid tank was for weight distri to meet safety req'mts, or whatever... :-huh

page #6 of 9

F350/F450/F550 Chassis Cab Fuel capacity (gal)
40-gal tank standard; auxiliary 19-gallon tank optional

6 of 9, nice she was. Yes long bed pick ups are all 38 US gallons. Shorties are all 29 US gallons. Midship and waft tanks only on builder without box or chassis cabs back to 99 I think. To bad, I would really like both an aft and midship on a long box single wheel 1 ton. Lots of fuel capacity without compromising box space or grond clearance.

38 gal. it is thanks
