Is this the power booster that I should purchase?

If not, which one would you guys recommend?

That looks like a nice setup. I've been looking at those also, but for now I'm sticking with the juice box and drums.

Whats the difference between this one? I know its a 3 bolt setup that we need to get. Im looking at getting the setup as well.

It looks like the same type of setup with the first one coming with a brake pedal and the second one you reuse your own. Looking at the pictures, I (personally) can't figure out how you mount the thing to the frame. The second one looks easy enough to mount, but the adapter looks kinda flimsy. (once again, to me)
The master cylinders look to be the same model as well as the booster, so I would guess and say the are essentially the same, just the mounting method looks different. (to me)
Ok, I went and looked again and the first one posted is for the cars, the second for the truck. No wonder I couldn't figure it out...

Maybe this model??? I guess maybe some kind of adapter would have to be made. (maybe one of our 48'-56' peeps could tell us)

Did you ever buy the booster?

christurney77 08-07-2012 02:37 PM

Yes.... I purchased from Ebay. My only complaint is the company didn't supply installation instructions. They said they didn't want to be liable in case of an accident? Anyway, I need to get back on updating my build thread. Here are some pics.

I didn't use the frame mounting bracket that was supplied. I instead modified my transmission crossmember to mount everything to. I was able to use the far right hole from the old brake setup. In welded some angle iron together and made a frame under the booster to strengthen the crossmember back up.

I need to order my lines and finish plumbing the brakes. But right now I'm finishing putting new pins in the rear springs and fixing the steering box...... Then back to the brakes. (hopefully around the end of the month)

Looking great man...which kit did you buy from ebay? I think you said you were running disk/drums?

marine1200 08-07-2012 05:22 PM

I see the brake pedal so you must have bought the one you first mentioned? Not the link for the truck setup without the pedal?

christurney77 08-07-2012 06:24 PM

This is the one I bought.
