6.4 on Bio-diesel

I was wondering if I could run on bio-diesel or what I would have to do to my 6.4 run on Bio-deisel.

Thought I heard that you can't run it in the newer diesels (post 6.0) due to the emissions controls. Something about injecting unburned bio into the exhaust causing the Catalitic to plug. Might be wrong, hope someone else chimes in...

Ahhh sense you mention that I do remember hearing something like that too.

From what I've read it's not that it plugs the filter, but the fumes pass through the crankcase during regeneration and the bio gets absorbed into the oil. #2 does the same thing, but the boiling point of #2 is low enough that it boils out during normal operation. Bio has a boiling point much higher, so it doesn't evaporate and adds up over time, diluting your oil. How big of an issue it is is debatable, but remove the DPF (delete pipe and a tuner) and you eliminate the problem.
