TJC: I bought one from someone on this forum a couple of years ago, and it has worked just fine for me. It wasn't the big one, but he was claiming a heavier duty than Ford had.

You replaced the stock GPR with a Stancor and then you ask which is the GPR. What's up with that. :-huh Are you sure you should be doing this yourself? :)

You should just use the AIH relay for the GPR until you can get a Stancor.

the stancor i used is the 100 amp unit that looks just like the stock GPR.
and the AIH relay is bad. i know that because when it went the first time i swapped them and never replaced it.

Well nevermind. :)

Like Rosanne Rosannadana (a Gilda Radner character on SNL) used to say "If it's not one thing, it's another". :-X04 And when it comes to Powerstrokes that is so true.

ain't that the truth!! eventually i will get a 200 amp relay, then i will never have to worry about it again.

that boss plow relay is only rated at 50 amps, just like a starter relay or the GPR-109 from napa.

Where you see 50 amp label? They are HUGE than starter relay. It weigh heavier. Reason I pick this boss relay because I have see some fleet with those relay that still work for 10 years of commercial plow. Those would be running for about 15-30 hours every snowstorm so it see alot works than normal starter relay see.
