Hello Scrapheap, I'm getting ready to build a 52 panel myself.
|
Hey mike, looks like you have a couple nice projects going. I have a long way to go on my panel yet, but I will get there someday. The weather is starting to look better so I got the garage cleaned up and I am looking into gearing up to work on it this spring. What your plan for your panel? I see that the Jag suspension your planning to add, pretty cool. So just wondering it it hard to find front end body parts out there in your neck of the woods?

Ron Most of the parts around here are beat to rat crap from years out in the woods so I get a lot of stuff from E-B#y and the HAMB guys in the morth west. Fenders are a premium item on the 51-52s but I have a line on a F1 pick up down in Portland, The guy wants a grand for it right now so I'll wait and see. I could use a right front, mine has been prettywell stuffed with some bad bondo work, it's repairable but would be a lot of work. |
Here's a link to my 53 panel project: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...r-project.html
MAYBE I'll get a chance to shorten the frame this summer, and get it back on track. We'll see.........lol |
Speaking of 472 Caddys............... Here is a pic of my 68 "6 Door" project:

Using the Caddy front wheel drive let's me have torsion bar suspension, which has a Hyd ram to adjust the front ride height, and the rear tandem will be hinged on the front with Hyd rams to adjust the rear...........
