They must have a lot of kids. Where abouts? I live in between Branson and Springfield. I think I would've noticed that thing if it were close to me.

Redneck limo?

whistle1516 02-04-2012 10:06 AM

I live around Kansas City and would drive south to see that! Lol. I have to give the guy props for the time and work but, that thing looks weird with the small stepside bed.

:-jammin Exactly what I was thinking. I think it would look awesome with a different bed, get rid of the middle set of doors so it's more limo like, and slam it on the ground.

Now that's a real super crew cab.......

I'd bet it was custom built for an oil company (or similar) back when it was new, by a 3rd party. One vehicle that could handle a crew of up to 9, and still have some room left for gear/tools.

I can see that. It's hard to see from the pictures but it looks like they did a great job. The bed still kills me though!

The bed is most likely something someone added at a later date, as it has 80-86 flairside fenders. Most likely had some sort of utility bed on it in the beginning.

I would rock it with a flat bed, or graft a Bronco back end to it. And I dare you to say where in southern Mo you seen it.

whistle1516 02-04-2012 02:20 PM

I was thinking of a Bronco rear as well!!! What did they call the 4-door Bronco? Was it a Centerion?

Yep and its way cool and different, you can even find them in a 80's and even 90's ish bronco set up..

I could see that 6 door body on a F250 4x4 running gear and some 38's and a small flat bed.

Here is a pic of a REAL redneck school bus, 6 doors and a ext cab and duely set up.

The truck was built by the owner. As I understand it he may be the original owner. He built it for his business which is canoe rentals. I assume haulin folks to the river. It is for sale. It is a F350 Camper Special chassis. He told me he was asking $3500. The truck is located just north of Alton, MO on 19 & south of 60. About halfway between the two. West side of the road. He has several trucks sitting along the fence. It is a 460, I don't remember the trans, he said new brakes, along with a bunch of other new parts. I did not crawl all over it but he did do a good job on it. I thought it was either a special Ford truck or a 3rd party truck.

Very interesting. It could be a practical rig for a boy scout camp or something like that to acquire. Still trying to come up with a practical reason for me to acquire it :)
