If anybody has any good CAD files of something they have built/designed and want to share they could throw it up on here.

I made a 79 F150 a few years ago my senior year in high school and still have it, but I have no idea how to put it on here. Made it in Autocad 2008.

I can't stand AutoCAD for 3D. Inventor is 10x easier.

It was all we had at the time. I took a class over solid edge this time last year but never made anything but what was in the book. For my truck in autocad I just drew everything and extruded and subtracted it all to work. Even made a V8 with the pistons and crank, didn't have enough time left though to get everything else made in it.

Not sure how you'd get a cad file to show up on here... I've had a hard enough time getting a PDF I made off a cad file to show up on here.

I work in cad (2d) all day long so I draw all sorts of my parts on it as layout that way is much quicker for me than old school cad (cardboard aided design). I still do some stuff the old way though...

I like that !!!
should be able to print a screen capture and post that
if that's what he's looking for
unless he wants your actual files to look at ?

ChaseTruck754 01-25-2012 07:52 PM

my guess is he wanted actual files - but yes a screen capture would work as well.

I'm sitting here staring at my cad screen messing with my frame design for the '38 pickup right now and have FTE open in the other. That would be a sweet capture - haha...
