20,740 miles and a bad bearing?
 

Well I am about to head over to the dealership and get one of our 2010 models looked at under warrenty to see if they can tell me what the roaring in the front end is. Aready moved all the tires into different locations to eliminate tire noise. Checked the suspension, and the bearings for play. Now we will let them see if they can locate the problem. Fortunately we have a good group of guys here at the dearlership so confidence is high. Will report any findings upon return.:-X22

Well looks like I was correct. Right side front wheel is shot. They have ordered a new on and I left it there for them to keep till it comes in. They told me it is under warrenty as long as the driver didn't drive off a cliff or something. I got a luaugh out of that. Also told them it wouldn't surprise me. Should be able to pick it up tomorrow.:-X22

2nd wheel bearing bad at 25,009 miles. Now its getting a new ABS Sensor CV Axle and another new bearing. Axle was the tech's fault as he stripped the threads of the axle nut. This is scary for this to be a problem this early.

And the hits just keep on comming
 

Well the story continues, Now The truck has visited the deaelr last week again and nothing is wrong. I took it to a trusted alignment shop and the toe was way out on the front and the rear of the vehicle. Had the front put back into specs but there is nothing available for the rear so Monday morning it will be back at the dealer again and they said they have to call Ford to see what to do. I will keep everyone updated as info becomes available.

I do believe my driver thinks he is one of the Duke boys. Lol The guys at the dealership are working miracles on this thing. I am glad we have a dealership who does a good job locally. I've heard horror stories about some of them. Glad they are here. Should be getting it back soon and many thanks to the techs involved. I would not have known where to start. Classic Ford Rocks.

What did they figure out? I'm in Charlotte this week for training so I haven't been involved.

First things first, I have one of the duke boys driving for us. I think he is jumping over the pedestrians bridge or something. Jay told me to day they got it aligned today. The rear axle had shifted and had to be brought in to specs. Also the sub-frame had to be adjusted? back to get it into specs . Tomororw I am getting prices for a heavier duty tire for the load we are carrying. So I am very thankful for all that you guys have done. I guess there was a good reason I couldn't get it to run straight. I don't know how it got that way but I hope this is not a sign of things to come for these things. We got to many of them to have these kinda problems. All I can say is Classic Ford Rocks.

He must be driving the crap out of it to shift the axle. I'm glad we were able to sort it out for you. We try very hard to make sure everyone leaves happy. When you are in a small town like Smithfield word of mouth advertising can make or break your business. Brian pushes us techs hard to get the car fixed right. I wouldn't worry too much about the durability I haven't seen many Transits in the shop but see lots of them running around the roads.
