Flywheel Ring Gear?
 
I have a 1960 Ford F100 292 Y-block with 3 speed standard on the column....Does anyone know what size (teeth wise) what ring gear would have been on it? Any help would be great Thanks guys/girls Mark :-huh

That can be looked up at LMC's website.I think that would be around 25.00

I don't know 'what size' the teeth are, but I do know this:

EAA-6384-A .. Flywheel Ring Gear-146 teeth / Obsolete

Passenger Car/Truck applications: 1952/53 215 I-6 / 1954/64 223 I-6 / 1954/64 239/256/272/292/312 Y blocks.

HASELDEN BROTHERS in Hemingway SC has ONE = 843-588-2134.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has TWO = 800-543-4959.

CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has FOUR = 800-476-9653.

I can give you the info on one source, but not the other. You will need the Ford part numbers.

I have access to the in-house Ford Dealer Parts Locator System that all the US/Latin America dealer are listed on.

Some dealers and the obsolete parts vendors are listed on: PartsVoice.com / Anyone can access, registration and searching for parts is free, and more than just Ford parts are listed.

Of the three sources I listed in post #3, the first source is listed on the dealer parts locator. The other two are listed on PartsVoice.

The 1957/63 Ford Truck Parts Catalog is available on a CD from hipoparts.com

The machine shop said Ford has a 3.6L and a 3.7L straight 6. Some internet site listed a T and a V serial number 223 straight 6 for that year. They are slightly different.

T = 170 1V I-6 (not installed in trucks), V is a Cummins I-6 diesel.

223 = VIN engine code J (1954/64) // 262 = VIN engine code B (1961/64).
