Spark plug gap

Hey. Just bought my first truck that I can actually call my own about a week ago. Before this I've never really had an opportunity to work hands on with cars so I don't know a whole lot. But I generally know how an engine works and I have good mechanical common sense. My truck a 1994 Lightning. It still has the stock 351w with the stock distributor. I'm about to replace the spark plugs and wires and was wondering what I should set the gap at? I've heard anything from 0.035 to 0.055. The plugs are Autolite 764 copper core and the wires are Wells 8mm. Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Should be between .042 and .046

Thanks!! Got them all in except 1. The passengers side rear one is at an awkward place I can't get any socket or wrench. Im going to get a jointed socket extension tomorrow for it. The old plugs must not 've been replaced in ages. They were burnt crispy and the gaps ranged anywhere from .060 to .040...Who ever owned it before apparently didn't wanna put any work into it. But now its running much smoother! Thanks Again!!!
