smog pump for boost

Not too long ago, on one of the few forums I attend, there was mentioned using a smog pump to boost intake on a gas engine. I would like to know more about such an idea but can't find the thread. Do any of you guys know how to do this?

PS: I am posting this on the other forums too. So if you keep seeing this it is because you are following me. ;D

well, the idea is clever but in reality, its not going to work....atmospheris pressure is 14.7 psi, now you would have to have pressure greater than this to make any hp increase.....the smog pump doesnt even come close to this.

Agreed. The thermactor pump isn't going to move enough air to create any positive manifold pressure.

LOL. People have even tried leaf blowers for forced induction. Lot of electric blower kits sold on E-bay. Nothing I know of being successfull. Even ram air doesn't provide boost till 100mph.

I found what I was looking for. It was used on small engines like a Brigs or motorcycle.
