98 f150 4.2 to 4.6 motor swap
 

hey i have a 1998 f150 4x4 5 speed with the 4.2 and i can get a 1997 f 150 2 wheel drive 5 speed complete parts truck with the 4.6 windsor in it and i am just wondering if anyone knows if it will drop right in or what?? thanks

while it will fit right in the "engine cavity", you will have to do some minor modifications to secure it to the frame, the radiator asembly and auxiliary "radiators" / coolers will give you some trouble, therefore you would have to modify the placement of them
