Leveling /Lift Options & Tire Size Questions

So I have some questions about a small lift for my 2000 V10 Super-Cab F250 4x4. Basically, I am wanting to do a level kit on front and possibly a Ready-lift 4" or 5” block on the back. So, with the level kit I should get about 2.5” and 2-3” on rear to keep same stance as now but a couple inches of lift.

The main question I have is what do people recommend for leveling kit on the front.
  • · Minipack (of a couple extra leaf springs) with new U-bolts Ready Lift or ebay
  • · Full replacement leaf springs (with extra leaves) Rough Country
  • · replacement of the stock front spring hangers and rear shackle hangers with new hangers Rough Country
  • · Not necessarily bent on Rough Country or any other brand for that matter (although I do really like the idea of the Ready Lift block on rear end).
  • · ??? (other options not mentioned)

With such as small “lift / leveling” anyone know of issues with steering or anything else (wobble). I like to “TRY” to plan for issues before they happen but there is always a gotcha and just wondering if anyone has any tips.

And of course I am going to replace the shocks all around (currently looking at Rancho RS5000). Any comments or concerns welcome!

Next question is in regard to tire sizes. Currently I have 285/75/16. I am not really wanting to change tire sizes but I also don’t want that too small tire look. I am pretty sure a 2-3” lift would not cause this, but does anyone have any thoughts on the matter.

Any help would be deeply appreciated. Josh

I used a mini spring pack on my 5.4 worked great and simple to install, it did leave the back end of the truck sitting lower.

I then ditched the 2" rear block and installed a 4" block

And I ran 33's on a 20" rim

Thanks! I noticed from your sig that you did Custom traction bars then saw in the bottom picture. Was this b/c of the lift or just another add-on?

Also in the first and second picture are those the stock tires?

I'm doing this exact same thing on my 2000 F250 CC 4x4, using a Zone Leveling kit 2-1/2" Leveling Kit

and I'm probably going to go with a 5" readylift block in the rear to maintain 2-3" of rake.

While I'm at it, it's a good time to replace the spring rub pads also, at least on my 125K mile truck Amazon.com: 1C3z5b302aa Kit - Insulator Repa Oem Ford: Automotive

I too have 285/75R16 tires, I think it will look fine with this small of a lift.

hope this helps,
Pat

Thanks Sandman!

Have you thought about whether to do a Adjustable Track Bar? I don't think it would be needed for only 2-3" of lift but sure don't want to be stuck finding out I need one once I get into the install...

The Zone kit comes with an adjustable track bar, so yeah, I've thought about doing that ;)

Well, I guess I had a brain fart about that kit including the track bar... I even looked at the link you send (although I had looked at that kit before) :-banghead

I put the traction bars on just as another add-on I like they way the look under the truck and thought about tugging it next year. And yes the first and second pictures were with stock tires, I couldn't tell you the size tho.
