3.0 interchangeable?
 

Hi everyone,

My brother has an 04 3.0 5 speed. edge with a bad engine. He's found a wrecked 94 3.0 5 speed. to buy the engine from. My question is will the 94 and 04 3.0 engine interchange using the accessories and other miscellaneous items needed from the 04 engine? Has anyone ever attempted a swap like this. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I dont think so, Unless you change the electrical and ECU, cus im pretty sure the 04 3.0 was a OHC motor and i know that the 94 3.0 was a push rod motor. So most likely not, unless you mess with the electronics then im sure u can get it to work
