New Guy

My name is Rick I am not new to MI but I am a newly graduated UTI student got out of Active Army and went to school for Auto/Diesel and Industrial. I am a diesel guy for sure I applied for several jobs here and think I landed a Ford Diesel Technician job with a Ford dealer in my city so I am happy about that.

Welcome aboard soldier! Battle Creek isn't too far away from me. And yeah, once you drive a diesel, you're always going to have one. Even IF Volkswagen built it. heh heh heh.

Welcome back. Hope you get the job in battle Creek.

If you get bored there is a large army reserve unit in BC:-X0A6

I keep hearing that from a lot of people might have to check on that if I get bored.

Rick92 12-29-2011 01:09 PM

Yeah keep getting told I should apply for an AGR job over there so I can retire right here in MI and I am giving it a thought. How long has that VA Hospital been there?

bigredtruckmi 12-29-2011 01:50 PM

Since ww 2

Rick92 12-29-2011 01:58 PM

Damn I drive that way every now and then and never really notice it there.

bigredtruckmi 01-09-2012 03:23 PM

Rick,
If you was active army then the conversion will be easy. Also the time put in will count towards your reserve time. My Navy did. Getting a very nice check each month after I turned 60. Free medical also.:-X06

NO I'm not a recruiter. A former career councelor:-jammin

Rick92 01-09-2012 05:34 PM

Yep they want me but they want me to go Officer and go to OCS so I am thinking about it very hard.

bigredtruckmi 01-09-2012 05:48 PM

Good man. Think hard about it. If you became officer where would you drill as officer billets are hard to find. Ask.
