speedo after sas ?

it's a 95 f-150 5 speed 300 six, we used 79 f-150 parts, the swap went good but how do you adapt the speedo?

If you swapped the rear axle to a 9 inch Ford you removed the VSS, that's what drives the speedometer.. The easy way would be put the 8.8 back in there with the correct gears to match the front axle.. Since you don't have provisions on the '95 transmission either. There are adapters and such ( the ones I've seen mount by the yoke on the rear diff) but best I remember it runs into $$$..

did'nt think the adapter would be too costly($$$) if you could come up with the name of the company(s) that offer the adapt. the guy we did the swap for would consider buying one, if not ,we will take your advice and the original rear end will go back in with the matching gears. thanks for the info.

the difference between the 8.8 and 9 inch rears is not worth bothering with, and since the 0 inch is not VSS ready, it is not even worth putting it in.

well, it looks like the 8.8 is going back in with some matching gears. hey, thanks for the help, next time i'll go to FTE during the process, thanks again.
