Cost to replace egr cooler & oil cooler?
 

I recently had to have my egr cooler, oil cooler, and egr valve replaced. The work was covered under warranty so my paperwork shows N/C (no charge).
Now its time to decide if I want to renew my esp (extended warranty).
Does anyone know what this would have cost out of pocket aproximately?
I think they said about $ oh I can't remember? Thanks!

2500-3500 is a bal park maybe on the high side a little.

Only get the Warrenty if it is a Ford ESP plan

if it is some other After Market Company that you are thinking of getting a warrenty thru Dont even Bother Id say about 90% of those companys are Crooks

so FORD ESP ONLY and get the best coverage you can

From what Iv read on here Ford is Honest and Fair with there warrenty work Shure there has been a couple complaints But those Folks more than likely went with a cheaper Leval of ESP Coverage you get what you pay for definatly on this

3 grand would be a good average number for reference @ a dealer.

Ford esp is what I am looking at.
I have a SGII now and every thing is looking good so far... ecept my abs lite comes on somtimes when I tow.

It cost me, at a Ford dealer in NH 2399.00. I got a military discount so it would have been a bit more than that. Eric

When I priced the warranty from Ford, it was damn near the same as the cost of an oil cooler and EGR cooler replacement- That tells me Ford is almost certain the truck will require replacement before the expiration of the extended warranty. Awesome... Thanks Ford! -Mike

From talking to various people around the country about oil cooler/egr cooler repair replacement $2400 is about the average.

Go with the Premium Ford ESP. I have it for 7 yr/125k miles. It covered my FICM replacement and a rear axle seal. I sleep better at night. :-wink My local dealer quoted $2600.00 out the door But I asked if they would replace the EGR cooler with a BP EGR cooler and they said no.
