Backburner project since they had to change everything

Well ive been busy with other hobbies and haven't even thought about my 59 in a couple of years. Im away at college so i have no place to work on it and not enough extra money to throw at it so the truck has been on the backburner for quite some time (probably till i get out of college and i have money and time to do how i want it instead of how i have to do it), which might not be a bad ideal so i can decide what the heck im doing with it and stop changing my mind. Any how since the powers that be decided to split us off into our own group i figured i would make a post about my truck on the new board even if it will be some time before i get back to it.
My truck started out as black and white 2wd f100 with a 292 and a four on the floor (original three on the tree but done been converted when i got it). I drug it out of a field the summer i was 14, and promptly tore it down to the frame with hopes of driving it for my driving test or at least to the SR prom. I turn 21 in a few days and well its still in about the same condition it was when i turned 15.
The first main problem was rust and lot of it. the floor was basically gone so i cut it all out and tried my best to fix it and it turned out ok then i thought on it for a couple of years after i learned what i was doing and one day i took the grinder and went to cutting all that hard work out so i could redo it better. And right now its still in bodywork purgatory.
Right away i decided i wanted a 4wd so i went and found another frame and a set of axels and chiseled and sweated until i had a rolling 4wd frame and then i got i girlfriend who im marrying this summer, and just plain got busy with other stuff and then came moving during my senior year which put the truck in storage for a couple of years and then moving away to college and etc etc etc. For all the time i put into the truck it doesn't really show.
Now time for the fun part where i get to dream. I haven't really decided on a motor yet but right now the top two contestants are the 292 or a 300 inliner, the trans will be a 4 or 5 speed manual with the manual transfer case. paint will be blue, black or some combination there of. The wheels will be a stock set of 5 hole 16inch innie wheels wrapped in some kind of tall skinny rubber with tread suitable for an old school 4x4. The bed is long gone and will be replace by a custom built flatbed built by me. All new glass and rubber parts as well as reupholstered seat and all that jazz. Sorry for the long post just thought i would say hi.

What it looked like when i got it.More pictures in my gallery.
