Cig lighter and/or Power point/port fuse?

Fellas, help me out here.
I did a little search and found mention of it once. I just want to confirm that the front power point, and the power point on the back of my center console are on 20amp fuses. I just picked up a little direct drive 12v compressor and it requires no less than 15amps. Want to make sure I'm not going to blow the fuses if I plug in this little guy.

Worst case scenario I could get an aligator clip into cig lighter adapter for the battery terminals, but I didn't think that far ahead before I picked it up at lunch.

Thanks!

I don't have an answer for you,but I recommend you pop open the fuse door and take a look.that will give you the answer you desire

Thanks dano. I think its either #39 or 41 but I cannot confirm that either. Was hoping id catch someone that was more familiar with it than me. Pretty sure im good but had to ask as well. Thanx for chiming in. How's life?

It's 41, 20A and a mini-fuse, but please remember that the fuse also powers the OBDII port. So if it does blow, you won't be able to flash the PCM.

Personally for 15A (180 watts), I'd either run a separately fused line directly from the battery to a separate power point, or I'd just hook it up to the battery (again with an inline fuse) when I needed it.

It also looks like position 104 is not used. Maybe you could see if there's power available there?

Charlie, does 41 handle the front and rear power points? I could use just the power point on the back of the center console. My understanding is that it was not on the same fuse as the front console. Can you confirm?

From the 06 manual:

# Amps Usage
20 10A* Battery feed for overhead power point
37 20A* Rear power point
39 20A* Instrument panel power point
41 20A* Cigar lighter, Diagnostic connector power

* means mini-fuse

Charlie, why didn't you just hit me with a RTFM?
Tomorrow's Friday right? Needs to hurry the efff up.

Aww shucks. Happy Friday sir. Tried to send you some reps, but I'm still in jail.

BTW I plugged in the compressor to the rear console power point last night and the little thing worked flawlessly. It's SUPER quiet too. If anyone wants to know more about it let me know. It's made by BonAire but it's stamped with a company's name that I don't normally endorse. :)

I want to know more where did you get it from and what company actually makes the compressor?
