Help with wiring on 2005 Freestyle
 

my wife's car is the 2005 freestyle and we had an unfortunate incident last week. Apparently a squirrel ate through some wires under the hood. she went to start her car after work and it would click, but not turn over.

I can clearly see the wire harnesses that were bitten through so it seems like something I could possibly do to avoid paying the insane repair costs. But I cant find a schematic of the engine and its various wires.

The wire harnesses are in the front of the engine, on both the right side and left side. on the left (facing the engine) is a harness with 4 wires running into it. squirrels ate through 2 of them.

the other one, on the right (facing the engine) has what appears to be 8 small wires running into it. they ate through 3 of those as well. i do have pics but i am unable to post them as a new member.

does anyone know where i can get a diagram showing what parts these are? We do not have the manual or I would look there.
