Peeled open 1883 Bronco Power doors, found a empty harness. Pwr Mirrors?????
In the door the wiring harness splits into 3 connectors, One goes to power locks, one goes to power windows, and there is a third that goes nowhere.
Did the 83-86 series have the option of power mirrors??? (this is not for the speakers) does anyone have a photo of "power mirrors"??? Thanks Reamer |
1883 that bronco must have been pulled by a strong horse team eh? :)
Those should be the only available options. Can you get a pic of the connector? |
1883, 1983 whats a hunded years! (I think it's about 100 HP)
But that being said, the harness that plugs in to the power door lock switches, has a seperate, empty plug right next to it. Photos, didn't think I'm allowed. |

There were power mirrors available but I don't remember the exact years, 81-F-150-Explorer would know for sure.
I've seen ONE truck in the junkyard ONCE that had 'em. Oddly enough, I took the interior door panels cuz they seemed to be in good shape: . . |

Thanks Ctubutis
It would be really cool to see what the power mirrors actually looked like. Reamer |

Power mirrors, Door locks, and Windows were all options for 1981-1986.
The 1980 wasn't equipped with them and there are several different wiring changes and fuse boxes are wired differently than 1981-1986. |
I just went through my Original 1986 F-Series brochure, no mention of power mirrors in it.
