Thats quite the list. I don't remember all the brands i had but i know i had an original 82 8-track in my 82 mustang, i played the only tape i found which was super stars of the 70s haha. Eventually i "upgraded" to a POS cd player my brother gave me. It was wired in terribly and cause a lot of electrical issues. Next i got my 88 ranger which had the original tape player. It worked but it started having issues so i forked out $200+ For a Pioneer system. I went to cartoys and got the headunit and it came with free instal. I liked that one cause it was remote control and had changing colors on the face plate. That is still in the ranger but as of now i won't be transferring it out. My brother is driving it and the face plate got stolen off it. My brother bought a used one and now you can only control the volume via the remote. Go figure.

In my 78 bronco i didn't come with a stereo and only had the single dash speaker from factory. Apparently the head unit and speakers the PO put in were stolen twice. I went and bought a new dash trim and re cut the stereo slot to make it cleaner, then installed a deck from Walmart that cost $50. I snagged some speakers out of an old surround sound system in the dumpster at my old work and wired those up. It sounded terrible since it had no bass but it was music. Then i bought my dual subs and amps from a friend. Put the subs in and 1 amp and it made everything a lot better.

Eventually i accidentally blew the dash speaker so i went back to walmart and purchased a set of 61/2" speakers and installed them in the doors. Now it sounds a lot better. For a newbie at stereos and electronics i would say i did pretty good.
