Can you access the option through the vehicle message system?

mginc 10-09-2011 11:06 AM

When you get to that section on your instrument control message center, hit RESET to turn it back on.

Do you have your manual? If not check the Ford site for a copy of the manual here,,, https://owner.ford.com/servlet/Conte...OwnerGuidePage

Do you see three buttons on the dash anywhere which shows? INFO - SETUP - RESET

From the manual:

AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)
The air suspension system is designed to improve ride, handling and
general vehicle performance during:
• Certain road conditions
• Steering maneuvers
• Braking
• Acceleration
This system keeps the rear of your vehicle at a constant level by
automatically adding air or releasing air from the springs. If you exceed
the load limit, the rear air suspension may not operate. The air
suspension system will stay active for 40 minutes after the ignition is
turned off to accommodate any load changes. (The air compressor may
run when the vehicle is off; this is normal.)
The air suspension system can be enabled or disabled through the
message center. Refer to Message center in the Driver Controls chapter.
If the system is off, the rear air suspension will not operate and will not
raise (pump) or lower (vent) while the vehicle is not moving. However, if
the system determines that the vehicle is low or high and needs to make
a height adjustment while driving at speeds above 15 mph (24 km/h), the
system will pump or vent as required. Normal vehicle operation does not
require any action by the driver.
On vehicles equipped with air suspension, turn the air
suspension and the ignition switch off prior to jacking, hoisting
or towing your vehicle.

Also from the manual:

Air Suspension

Before disabling the air suspension, make sure the liftgate and liftgate
glass are in the closed position.

1. To disable/enable the air
suspension feature with the vehicle
in P (Park), select this function
from the SETUP control for the
current display mode.

2. Press the RESET control to turn the air suspension OFF or ON.

hey bro, i have three buttons INFO SETUP REST
i followed your instructions and the air suspension was turned off, so first i hit setup button till i got to air suspension menu , it was off so i hit reset and the brackets came over to ON. it says air suspension on when i do the system check, but my navi is still dropped from the back :( you think something might have gone wrong with the suspention?

glruff 10-09-2011 12:09 PM

Hmmm don't know about that, is it give you any codes? With the air system ON, if there is a problem with it, you probably will get a warning light.

The driver manual may help to determine whether there are issues with the nav system.

Explain about your navi "is still dropped from the back"?

mginc 10-09-2011 12:15 PM

nop no warrnings, or error codes, and navi is so dropped that i cannot even drive it.

Please explain, not sure I understand your statement.

After you changed the setting did you start your truck?

This should turn on the air compressor I do believe. If not, then you need a dealer to look at this for you.

mginc 10-09-2011 12:56 PM

i mean the navigator is so much dropped, that if i drive, it feels like i am hitting the tires.

glruff 10-09-2011 12:59 PM

Can you hear the air compressor come on?

If not, then check for blown fuses for the compressor. If you cannot find then a trip to the dealer is in order.

mginc 10-09-2011 01:08 PM

nop, cannot hear compressor, bro could you tell me where to look for these fuses? under the hood?

glruff 10-09-2011 01:26 PM

Do you have the owners manual?

See pages 288 to 295

mginc 10-10-2011 12:28 AM

i found this on page 261 in the online owners manual http://content.screencast.com/users/...6/00000760.png

just need to figure out where this box is located.
