Off-road Y Pipe

Where can I get one, the only one I have seen is the Magnaflow for $220. I don't see that it is worth anywhere near that as I paid way less than that for the H pipe on my mustang!

Summitracing.com should have a selection.

There's 1. Only 1.

bassani

I think taking it to the exhaust shop would be your best bet for the money.

TheWhiteBeast 10-07-2011 01:42 PM

The exhaust shops around here look at you like you killed their first born when you ask them to take your cats off.

Cut them off yourself. Tell them its a farm truck.

My exhaust shop didnt mind cutting mine off they just said I wouldn't get a receipt. I ended up cutting mine off myself and selling them for scrap. Got enough for the cats to have the whole exhaust done.

That's because they could lose their shop for doing that. I'm not saying I agree with it, i'm just saying that it's not worth the risk to them. The EPA sends people in to exhaust shops in street clothes to see if the shop owners will cut off their cats, if they do they get shut down. Removing cats is something you're going to have to do yourself..

I believe Jeg's has an off-brand. If you have a welder you can build your own y pipe with a little time and patience.

10 thousand dollar fine. They don't loose their shop but may as well...

You dont need to tell them your deleting the cat. You just say your adding high flow cats after the Y pipe...

Bassani still makes the stainless off road Y pipe to the tune of 350+ shipping. you can keep that ...

Why not buy the magnaflow and use a straight pipe and sell the cat afterwards

I wonder if a Y pipe from a F250 would work. See my post here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...as-y-pipe.html
