30,000 Then poor mileage?
 

I call BS on this, but thought I would check it out on here. I was at a field trial this weekend and saw a beautiful 2011 Platinum Eccoboost. Everyone was checking it out and having a good time. All thought this truck was really cool until Mileage came up..

The owner said she was getting 20 or so MPG. OK!!! Seems OK, Right? One guy said he knows a guy, who knows a guy, who knows a guy that when they hit 30,000 miles his mileage dropped from 20-23 mpg to 15-16 mpg. Like I said I think BS unless there is something not right all of a sudden. I, also, have my doubts on an Eccoboost having 30,000 on them yet, but I suppose that it is possible.

I guess the question is what do you think? Have you guys heard of this issue or was this guy just a Ford basher. He loved everything else about it. He thought it was funny when I asked what his mileage was on his Siverado. He just said not as good as the eccoboost after 30,000 miles.:-X19

I think it's BS. Mileage is a hot button issue on these engines as Ford hinged much of it's marketing on the ecoboost fuel economy.

No one else even has anything remotely like this in a truck yet, they are all green with envy. }>
