Assembly manual for 55 f100?

I have a '55 f100 that was my fathers a long time ago and sat for the last 25 years. It in pieces and I am restoring it and needed some help. I've done a couple older corvettes and there were assembly manuals available to help with all the pieces and make sure nothing was missed. Is such a thing available for older Fords, it would sure help, lol. Just looking through a catalogue to order some parts and there were all kinds of smaller parts I never saw before or thought of and i don't want to miss anything. Thanks

James

It should have everything you need. Here is an example of the 55 Hood.

What part of the world/country do you live in? There maybe some local that can put some eyes on your project to help also. Just a thought. Hey James, check your visitor messages.

Like when putting the guts of a door back together. It would be nice to have some assembly instructions. From pulling it apart and assembling it several times to work out the fitment of an electric regulator it looks like this is the sequence. This is for electric window regulator. I've no idea if a OEM manual regulator would fit in the same sequence.

1. exterior door handle and lock
2. vent window assembly
3. division bar (but getting it inside the door is a bear)
4. insert window glass but lay it in the bottom against the outer skin
5. lower felts (actually not sure where int he sequence to do this)
6. upper and back window channel
7. slide window into channels and push to top
8. install latch and lock side channel simultaneously.
9. inside door handle and linkage to latch
10. window regulator
11. then somehow seat window into the lift channel (I'm not sure how to do this, with just tape or lay a thick bead of butyl window sealant in the channel and push the window down into it.

These are the things that make a restore possible:

Ford Shop Manual
Ford MPC (Master Part Catalog)
Many, many, many photos of your tear down (if available). Take many photos upclose, mid range and wide angle. I even take my cell phone and take videos. I often refer back to the photos and videos during restores.
Search for assembly ideas and suggestions here on FTE.
Feel free to ask for detailed photos of restored trucks. Many of us have photos of restored components. I have spent hours looking at photos of restored engine compartments just to give me an idea of how things should go back together. It also helps when looking at stock restoration jobs.

Good luck!
