How to tell if shocks are bad?...
Repeat ? from anther thread....please excuse....
With all the chat about bad rancho shocks, I removed the lower bolt on a rear shock. The shock was slow to extend, say 20seconds to finish extending. I was able to push the shock back up to were I could hold it in place with a thumb on one hand so I could re install the bolt with the other hand. Sooooo, what constitute a bad shock? The truck has ~7500miles on it. Also those mounting bolts they use suck. On one side a 11/32 would fit. Then rotate it to line up with another set of flats on the hex and it wouldn't fit. I ended up using a 18mm & 15mm wrench. No big deal but yikes.... So bad shocks? (rancho of course) |
