Best muffler for 6.0l?

Hey all, I am looking for a good muffler for the 6.0. Straight pipe is a little too loud of an option (though I do love the whistle and roar it makes). So I am looking for a nice sounding muffler. I've already got a Cat delete pipe, but with the stock muffler still on it sounds the same. A more free flowing one would be nice...

Any thoughts on exhaust solutions are welcome. Thanks

Your cat will quiet it down better than any muffler. Otherwise, a Walker BTM may be what you're looking for.

Quick question, What year 6.0?

Mine is straight piped, and you can hardly tell when getting on it, the turbo and rumble of the motor at matched perfectly.

Stang has an 03. I have a MagnaFlow on mine, she still whistles but not as annoying when straight piped.

I had banks to begin with and it sounded pretty stock, but IMO the silverline that's on it now sounds a lot better. (straight pipe) + putting a muffler or cat in the system restricts exhaust flow inturn restricting power in the end. My silverline is 5" and it's not bad at all.

Walker or Aeroturbine seem to be very popular with the "quiet" crowd. From what I've seen most of the performance mufflers are straight through anyway and still do a great job of quieting down the rumble.

Stang if I remember correctly you are in California? I have a pretty cherry Magnaflow like Maxium is referring to, I believe it is a PN 14772, 4" in/out, 24" can length, 30" OAL, used but real clean. Make me an offer if you are interested.

4in right? So that wouldn't fit on my 3.5in stock piping. Darn, thanks for the help though. But I will have to look into the magnaflow people are suggesting.

Might want to check into Corsa. It's a little expensive, but I love the sound. I had it on my trans am and corvette. If its anything like those then it is quiet on idle and take off, once you punch it you will definitely hear it- pretty deep and throaty. There are sound bytes on the website, Corsa Performance Exhaust - The True Voice in Performance I am hoping add it to my '06 shortly.

EBay prices aren't terrible either
