How do you reset the oil life monitor?
 

Couldn't find anything searching the board. Just changed my oil and I can't figure out how to reset the oil life monitor. I changed the oil before the truck advised to. My manual shows a button with setup and reset that DOES NOT match any buttons I have on the steering wheel. I have a Lariat w/ the 4.2 LCD Screen. I appreciate any help.

It should be under "maintenance" and "oil life reset". I poked around my screen and found it when I changed my oil. It works the same as the MPG reset - you have to hold the button down to get it to take.

Actually I figured it out. You have to go under "settings" then choose "reset oil life" or something to that effect. Then hold down the 'ok' button to reset.

Glad you found it. I had trouble the first time also. The manual doesn't fit trucks with the 4.2 screen. I had to have the dealer show me the first time.

I am sitting in the truck now - go to "settings", then scroll down to "vehicle", then "oil life reset". Push and hold "OK" like you do for mpg and trip resets.
