If its really an I6 diesel id highly consider buying it, if its a turbo I6 id buy it and put a flat bed on it. I emailed him for more info...

I'm going to hazard a guess that it's really a 300 I6 that sounds like a diesel....:D

Found a 242cid mitsubishii I6 with an M&W turbo kit on it, rated at about 120hp at 3700rpm. Nice heavy looking motor dual oil filters and such. It was on an auction at a scrap yard, seemed to have a crysler bell housing. My dad bought it for $45, bought a 1/2ton 79 dodge pickup, found an auto with a lockup converter, fit like it was made for it, but it had issues with the pump governor sticking or something, he sold it and that guy put the 318 back in it.:-huh
there is an old dodge sitting in a jy here with an NA crysler diesel, IIRC it's a relabeled nissian.

7.8L international maybe? I saw one in DFW not long ago. It was a turbo charged and in an F450 chassis. It was an 80's model, too.

Maybe it was a F700 or 800.

It's probably a 6.9 running on 6 cylinders.

Think this guy knows his A from a hole in the ground?

Note no under-hood pics.

A quick shot of the 7.8L

The 7.8L is a FORD motor. Its 478cid, a stroked version of the 6.6L or 401cid, also known as the Brazilizan engine. Same thing I have in my 9600, with the exception of a Bosch injection system in place of the Simms/Minimec system on the tractors. IIRC ratings for the 7.8 were in the 240hp to 270hp. No sleeves in them so cavitation can be an issue with them also.
