A couple more, still along ways to go!

looking good, What F-1 fenders do you need? those rears are F-2,3? you running F-1 fenders up front??
Also are the rear mounting edges of your running boards squared up or is it just the angle of the picture??

later

Josh

Hi Josh, the rears are F1 and the fronts are too. My fronts are about 25 miles from me. The guy I bought them from said he would do the metal repairs, get them ready for primer. I bought them July 14,2010....i am ready for them, but I can't ride him. $100 for the pair and another $200 to blast and repair. He has his own street rod shop and does some amazing work, just not mine:-roll
The rear of the boards are squared off F3, are the F1's different?

Jeff and Nicolle 09-19-2011 12:27 PM

I know I got some stuff to deal with because it's an F3 express bed with F1 rear fenders so she is wide in the rear! And the bed, fenders, running boards are not bolted down in these pics. well a couple nuts on the fender studs but thats it.
the front panel of the bed is bowed forward probably 2" so I can't even get the bed forward all the way!:-X04 like I said, alot of work ahead of me!

I think it's looking good with that mockup, with the tire and size there I think the F-1 fenders look good.

It sounds like having the rear of the boards somewhats squared off may actually help with mating to the f-1 fenders??

:-drink

I just went out and looked at the patch panels. I didn't realize they are different in the rear. If you still have the remains of those patches, I may want them too.
Eh well...i learned something today...gonna send ya a pm

And those rear tires are roasted, compliments of my last toy! '87 Buick Grand National! DOT approved drag radials(they hold air, but are bald!) the wheels are 15 x 8 Weld draglites, if anybody is curious.

Looks good! Man that cab sure looks to be in good shape.

jmadsen 09-19-2011 01:03 PM

those wheels do look good on it.

I just traded an f2 front axle for a set of Ford 5 on 5.5 Mag Slot wheels, 15" 8.5 wide
Not sure why though, I'm planning on running 16" steel wheels with trim rings stock hub caps. :-huh

I am pretty sure the patches were the front half of the boards.
And unfortunatly the other half has been sent to China.

sure I could come up with something though..

Yeah it really is, I had some floor patching on the drivers side, but its super solid. and it has spent its whole life right here in central IL. Surprisingly.
It has been repainted once in it's life. A metallic Green, and the original color is Meadow green. Pretty sure I am gonna stick with the original color.
