I can afford my truck now, and I can make it a lot nice when the student debt is gone in a few years lol. I have a girlfriend, that is probably the next most expensive hobby lol.

I know a lot of teachers who were in that boat. That lady really burst your bubble... lol

If you think the girlfriend is expensive wait till you get ready to make her the wife. I will be getting married in about a month and a half and it is starting to get expensive.

HA HA just kidding!

Man i need to change my major...planning for the future :-X22.

I wear a size 16 shoe let me tell you i always find shoes where I'm like oh i like those do they have my size hmmm ....13 ......14 .......15 ........12 ........13 DAMNIT! google time.

I'm on car #4, but still own 3 of them lol. I had a 2001 Buick Le Sabre i got from my grandparents as my first car but i literally had the seat so far back i looked out the driver side rear window so i had no blind spot. After about 6 or 7 months i started to get knee problems because my knees were still in the dashboard but the seat was as far back as it could go and I had been telling my dad i wanted his truck ever since i was in 5th grade which was in 2004-5ish cant really remember lol. So i sold the Buick to my uncle and bought my 04 from my dad in my junior year of High school i finished the loan payment on it and payed the sales tax on his dodge as part of the deal so i ended up paying $3000 i think, then last year got the 95 for $200 and now I'm getting an 06 malibu from my other grandparents to try and spare my savings account from my trucks hungry tank that likes money more than gas.

I always feel bad telling stories like that because i don't want to sound like I'm trying to make myself seem better than people like oh i have 3 cars I'm da best :-blah. I work for everything i have but I do have to say if it wasn't for my parents i wouldn't have a lot of things that i have today and all the opportunities i have gotten is because of them...so to all the "older" guys on the forum if your parents don't think anything you do for your kids goes unnoticed!

P.S. I literally read this 5 or 6 times to make sure i didn't sound like a D*** lol

Lol IMO being tall has its benefits like:
-Everyone always looks up to you no matter how much of an ass you are
-You can make fun of all the short people which is everyone since your an fing sky scraper
-you can reach things
-chicks always spot you and talk about you since they can see you from a mile away
-the weather is always warmer up by your head because heat rises.

Thats pretty much it here are some cons:
-vehicles smaller than a truck/SUV.....no
-shoes size 16+ dont exsit except in this majical palce called the internet where you rder them then try them on after you pay
- cloths dont exist becasue you cant go to a regular store or a big ant tall store thats for 7'+ dudes
-cant ride anything in Disney
-have to bend over to do anything
-doorways in old houses...cant remember anything about those its a blig black area in my memory
-people always need **** thats about thier heads
-girlfriend drives a escort you drive a truck...do the math
-long lists of cons to being tall
-you always wish you were shorter so you could do some fun things short people do like hide in crowds

I could keep going lol those are sarcastic but kinda serious reasons i wish i was 6'-6'2". Seriously though clothes and shoe shopping sucks and riding in my gf's escort/ driving it.

EDIT: forgot to add that after lifting your truck you feel like a bad ass then realize you to your truck is like everyone else to a stock truck....but its fun watching you 5'2" gf get in lol...until she makes you buy steps for in...

Those benefits sound pretty good to me, haha.;) That's a good list. :-X04

For some reason I always wanted to be 6'5 for some reason, just sounded good to me. But seriously at least 6'2 or 6'3 would be nice, lol. :-missing

And I don't really like anything smaller than a tuck or SUV anyways. Even now I don't really fit in all my buddies little cars anyways, haha.

I was able to afford mine after working with my Dad last summer, and saving almost all of the money I've ever gotten, I just somehow don't spend money on things, except for now on my truck.}> I should be fine if I work with my Dad again this summer, or at least have a good solid job, and don't go too crazy on mods for my truck, lol. Like I said I don't really spend money on anything else, I just save, because I know I'll need it eventually.

Hahaha! Miles your truck really doesn't look that big with you standing next to it. I guess really the only solution is to go bigger with it, right. ;) I know what ya mean though, all my friends that are used to driving little cars think my truck is huge, but to me its really not that big.

What is your major? If you are going into teaching Math is the way to go. In a year and a half of teaching the state paid off my Bachelors Degree debt. I still owe big on my Master's Degree however.

Looks great and Happy Birthday! I am more of a chrome guy but those wheels really do suit your truck perfectly.

I know all about finding the size 16 shoes. It's to the point I don't even look any more. I go in and tell the worker I have a mission for them to find me a size 16 in something lol.

I seem to have that issue with everything tho. All the nice logo clothes don't fit. Any of the stuff in the big and tall store looks old man ish.
And don't get me started on gloves. Lol

Love that list and it's totally true

Mechanical Engineering, i currently work at iRobot (not the movie lol) in Mass. They have a program where they will pay my tuition if i can keep my grades above a C i think but you need to be hired full time and in order to be hired full time i need my bachelors so i can really only get compensated for my masters if i go for it afterwards.

Damn i wish the state would pay for my bachelors, i get screwed in a way. My parents are both employed and i also make a good amount for a younger person so i get no financial aid at all and have to pay full price for everything. My girlfriend on the other hand gets a decent chunk taken off her bills through financial aid though because her parents are divorced and don't make as much money and she doesn't make a whole lot either.

Hearing all the stories about paying for college either on here or from my friends makes me glad i decided to just start working. luckily i live in a place where you can do well without a college education mostly due to oil and gas companies. I never expected to have the job i do and make what i do at my age and i have friends who are working 2 jobs and struggling to get through school...then you still end up with student loans. Granted they may do well later on in life who knows. but i feel for you guys going through it right now!

Well, I'm tall, but I am 34yrs old. That isn't old! My 6.0 is still bruised, along with my HUGE Ego. I am really missing it. Another 2 week's before I get it back.
