Best Reading Materials for Truck Owners???
 

After a couple weeks of reading on this forum it is clear that I know absolutely NOTHING about my truck. Ya'll do some awesome work on your rigs.

I can change the oil and put some gas in the tank but clearly I got a lot to learn if I want to really figure it out.

I got a Haynes manual for my truck (77 F250 Highboy) and it sucks for detailed diagrams and explanations.

I was hoping to find a few books that would help me better understand the breakdown of my truck so I can start figuring it all out. Any suggestions?

The factory shop manuals are a wealth of information, if you're patient you can sometimes pick up a complete 5vol. set on ebay for under 30 bucks.

You can also get it the factory manual on CD so you can print out the page you need without worrying about greasing it up. faxonautoliterature

You can get the CD from JBG for $35 plus shipping. It was the best price I found.

Well now I got to decide between hard copy or cd. That is a tough decision but I like the idea of being able to only print what I need and can always print more copies of something.

Kinda nice to have old school books on the garage shelf.
Can't tell you how many times I've been through my Tbird shop manual.
