Truck stalls going around right hand corner. Any ideas?

I got a 1980 f150 with the 4.9L I-6. the fuel pump has been converted to electric.

When i go around a right hand corner, the truck dies. once u straighten out, it will roll start its self and keep going. any ideas what it might be?

I remember reading of one owner having that problem (not sure if it was a 6 or V8)........his float level was too high & was flooding the engine cornering.

Check to see if the carb is not loose on the intake. My friend's F150 would die turing right and a with a quick left wiggle would keep on running! We found the carb is falling off the intake on turns!

Are you sure you have enough gas in the tank? Sucking air as you turn maybe?

Only make left hand turns. No seriously, check the carb for tightness, they're infamous for loosening themselves from the intake manifold. Also check the float level as Ken suggested.

Ive had trouble with is coming loose before. the truck has done it for a long time. I'll check the float.
