has any one every lowered ther van ?

I've posted the link to the shop with the beams for it, I've not got the $600 for them, it is the only way to lower the front without camber issues, they are custom built I-beams, not to be mistaken with the tubular ones DJM came out with years before that fail.

Very Noice! |
Is that your attempt at lowering the van? LOL.....
Looks good. I would probably get a nose bleed climbing into the rig.... |
I suppose that "technically" this is the wife's...
http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/7294/vanlift.jpg http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/8...nrearlside.jpg As of this posting, we are "still figuring out what we bought" :D |
Nice van Mark, I have the older version of that lift, made by Crow River, I hate it with a passion, after years of service, after 16 years of service, they are a nightmare, you'll find they are loaded with electronics, my hydraulic, same age is more dependable. I need another electric like that to strip parts, I can tell ya, I've learned a lot from them.

Thanks. We're really liking the van so far.
It has the "Vangater II" lift... I think that someone (?) told me that Braun bought Crow River basically to get that product, as it was "better" than what Braun had at the time. I have no idea of the time frame. Hopefully we'll have low usage (with a light load) and it will last a good while... Mark |
That they did, it was the only lift available for mini vans, works for childrens chairs tho, adult are too wide, with the camber most of us run. They last long, I'm against mass electronics, and they happen to have many limiting switches, use or not, condensation builds corrosion in them, dealers won't sell you replacements either, they have to install them, at $100 an hour, it's quite a racket. Yours is a tri-fold, mines a bi-fold, I don't fold it anymore, I strapped it to cut down on rattling, that drives me crazy, not sure if yours folds manually like mine, many are powered, to clear the doorway when stowed.
Love those wheels, I had hubcaps before going with the black American Racing set. |

picked this 04 van up awhile back and needed some better wheels and found some Equus 18 inch rims w/Nitto 305/55/18 tires and mounted them on, suprisingly they fit, won't lose it in a parking lot,lol http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...Picture330.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...Picture332.jpg http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/k...Picture331.jpg
