Removing 2011 Ford Explorer Grill

Does anyone know how to get the grill off a 2011 Explorer? As far as that goes does anyone have any suggestions of a source for a repair manual for the same truck? Thanks.

oh, was just wondering. Sounds like a neat project. I wouldn't know how to take it apart though, good luck

I have the factory service manual for 2011. Oddly, the Explorer is one of the few models that is not covered by it for the Workshop manuals. It is covered for the wiring diagrams though....

Thanks for your timely response. It seems hard to find the manual. I did find one on line for almost $200 but not having seen the contents of the manual it hard to part with $200.

You may be able to get enough of a feel for how it comes apart from this site. Hopefully that links works. If not, try this one and enter your vehicle details.

Thanks for your post. Site not a lot of help but every little bit is help. Just don't want to tear it up taking it out.

Sounds intriguing, but why would you need a siren and flashing lights behind the grill on a civilian vehicle...Philip

Moved to the 2011 & Newer Explorer forum.

Uh, most likely a firefighter, or in some jurisdictions law enforcement use their own vehicles for surveillance work.
