Hmmmm...I will be tuning into that one to see what they have to say.

I've seen it before. Its amusing, and entertaining. But dont go into it expecting to learn anything lol.

Remember, it IS TopGear afterall. And the guys arent truck guys, but they do their best. But its easy to pick apart what they did in the show.

I'll try not to spoil it.

Is that the episode in Alaska? If so, it's pretty funny what you can do with a pickup that you care nothing about. :-X04

Trey how did you see the episode before it aired?

That was a really funny episode....poor miata..lol....but the episode on tonight is BRAND NEW...i think in the preview they show a dodge pulling a train.....should be entertaining. Please dont confuse this show with MOTORWEEK or TRUCKS or any other real automotive show, this show is about humor and seeing what they can do for fun...

Well put. This show is not to be factual in anyway. They do sometimes review cars, but when the do their "fun stories" like this its all play no work. Nothing is factual haha

i thought it was the 2011 ford pulling the train.

They probably all pulled a train. They usually do the same challenge with all the vehicles.

paredneck33 08-07-2011 03:39 PM

Watched it - disappointing really, a bunch of know-nothings doing things that really don't count for much.

Gotta love the part where the one guy hydrolocked the $60K+ desert/sand racer. Right there, I knew the rest of the show was a waste of time, but had to watch anyway.

Yes, pulling down telephone poles with a cable hooked to the top of the pole (or near it anyways). I would have loved to see the aftermath if the cable snapped. Idiots.

I saw another one, where they were comparing a Jaguar XK with like 500+HP and rear-wheel-drive to a Nissan twin-turbo thingy with all-wheel-drive. NO DUH! The Nissan was faster on the twisties. NO DUH! The Jaguar lost the drag race when the idiot driving it roasted the rear tires off the line. Sigh... All that hardware, and not a neuron between any of them to rub together to start a fire with.

Sorry, rant over.
