Old Ford Graveyard
This is most likely not the correct forum for this thread, and really has nothing to do with restoration projects, just some pictures of worn out old ford trucks on an abandoned logging tract just behind my house. I really hadn't thought much about them until my recent project/obscession of my 66 long bed. I took a walk back there to see if there might be anything of use on my project since they have sat untouched for at least as long as I have lived here, 8 years. Basically just a bunch of rotting souls decaying beside the salt marsh, but the pictures do tell of their former utility.
A pretty fair symbol of what I saw. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ictureid=76861 the most intact truck, is a Dual axle, log hauler https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ictureid=76847 https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ictureid=76850 https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ictureid=76850 I took this just for research sake, but something was hightailing its self out, and I was trying to come in the cab, so this was the only attempt I made for ID of trucks https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ictureid=76849 About 7-8 trucks, mostly fords, with a GMC or two. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ictureid=76865 https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ictureid=76862 https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ictureid=76857 https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ictureid=76852 Modified for fuel haulin https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ictureid=76853 https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ictureid=76854 https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ictureid=76864 Not so custom any more! https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ictureid=76860 A worn out dash or 2 https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ictureid=76863 https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/p...ictureid=76856 Aw well, ashes to ashes rust to rust! |
Those ''Custom Cab'' emblems on the pic'' 3rd form last pic are worth pulling off that old truck, the one's on the door handles, also get the handles as there push button is a little longer the factory one's, then have them rechromed and you'll have a nice set!
PS, thanks for shearing, love the old junk..lol |
They are used up.

Dust to dust...
|
if you dont take it and use it they will rust away
|
Pretty cool to see them still there!! Scrap prices have cleaned up a lot of these!
Maybe some usable wiper arms!?! |
More's the pitty
|
Grab those costom cab door handles and the buttons...If they're in good shape, they're gold!
|
Decades of rust. That's too bad.
