1979 F100 custom shortbed 2WD
 

have for sale on local craiglist but no good offers. mostly stuff i don't need. figure i would throw it up here if anyone is looking.

make offer, worse I can say is no.

i've had this truck for awhile and driven it 60-70 miles daily. hauled plenty of stuff and no problems.
selling because no time to fix the way i want and found something else that caught my eye. great reliable classic truck.

inline six cylinder 300 cubic inch 4.9L. professionally rebuilt C4 transmission. non 4WD.
new parts; tires, rims, shocks, plugs, wires and master cylinder. some more i forget i'm sure. also painted grill insert and headlight buckets that set it off. has newer seats out of f150 with nice console and very comfortable. picked up unfinished straight tailgate and have few extra parts to sell or keep in case. body is a 20 footer but has mostly surface rust but one or two places that could use more attention. original paint color but definetly repainted. interior needs new carpet or rubber mat, also a good door panel to replace cracked one or fix it. dash pad in great shape as well as instrument panels. has aftermarket AC, blows but don't think its cold. i use windows all the time to keep cool. comes with un-installed CD player, door speakers, and two 6x9 in boxes. tinted windows, sliding rear windows and good seals and felt.
think i am third owner, original owner was from MS and kept it a long time, still have some dealer paperwork. runs and drives great, but idles little rough,could use rebuilding carb. cruises all day comfortably and hauls good. these things are hard to find short bed and hard to find inline six. more torque than 302 and best mileage available with these trucks.
this was listed here in jackson when i bought it so it may look familiar, don't miss it now!!
