That looks really good! I do like the flares look very rough and tumble,

Pili 07-24-2011 10:13 PM

i like those rims, are those centers spin offs or clip on?

The centers are held on with alan key head screws, might be a pain if you ever had a flat, but I love the look of them. Also 1 alan key per rim is included, so you will have plenty of extras should you ever loose one.

Very nice. I'd like to do a similar setup once my warranty is up. Good job!

Furian 07-25-2011 10:01 AM

Your Super Duty looks AWESOME! I've always loved the "Cut-Out" fender flares... much larger tires with minimal lift. You get all of the benefits and none of the inconveniences.

Well done! 8D

Ian123 07-25-2011 12:30 PM

normally I hate flares but they actually look really good on your truck

BigPigDaddy 07-25-2011 01:40 PM

That looks good in many ways!

Black rims on the dark blue with tinted windows = :-X06

38" tires on 20" wheels with cutouts and minimal lift means it doesn't look like the truck a 16 year old rich kid would be driving.* :-X22

*No offense to the guys with 16" of lift and 46" tires. ;)

b15addw 07-25-2011 06:42 PM

Where did you get the cut out flares? They look so nice. How much metal did you have to remove? If you don't mind what is cost and make of flares?

Fordfanatic4life 07-25-2011 07:31 PM

curious why you didnt just go with a bigger lift so you wouldnt have to hack up ur front bumper so much ?

ps i didnt know Toyo made tires up to 38" tall.

Eatonpcat 07-25-2011 08:13 PM

I'm gonna go with that looks Bada$$ and will look into those wheels when I decide to buy some!!!!

ArrizX 07-25-2011 08:42 PM

That truck looks so awesome!

Firefighter 1406 07-25-2011 08:43 PM

Looks great. I love the rims. I think the crewcab trucks look so good lifted.

74redone 07-25-2011 09:55 PM

truck looks great! were the flares a bear to install? Where did u get those rims? there r killer!

74redone 07-25-2011 09:57 PM

what 4" lift did u use?

CuNmUdF250 07-25-2011 11:42 PM

Looks great think I'd make the grille and bumper black give it a real road warrior kinda look...looks like 40's might squeeze in there too

snelldawg 07-26-2011 07:00 AM

I love the stance of the truck along with the long bed. Well done

icemann21 07-26-2011 10:18 AM

The flares are made by bushwacker. They are the cut out style flares.
On the Front fenders I had to cut about 2 1/2" blended forward, then to follow the arc of the fender It blended out to 4" at the bottom of the bumper and 3" blended to the back.
The Rear Fenders were cut 2" blended forward and 3" blended to the rear.

I purchased the Tires, rims, and flares from 4 wheel parts here in Tememecula CA. However they do have an online store that you can purchase and have items shipped. The front flares were $235 (pair) and the rear flares were $245 (pair).

I like the look of a larger tire with a smaller lift to fill out the wheel well more. And Toyo actually makes 40" Tires.

The most time consumeing part is getting all of the measurements right to get a good arc to allow the flare to fit, because you have to blend the arc out at the bottoms. All in all it wasn't bad. It took me about 12 hrs total to do every thing, and that was doing it by my self. The rims are made by MHT they are the Fuel Offroad style. I have been waiting almost 2 months for my rims to ship. Do to the fact that mine were among the first sets of 12" wide rims to come straight from the factory. They have only ever made this rim style in 10" wide.

Rear has a 2" block

You read my mind :) actually my next project when money permits is going to be the black grille and a black bumper with a light bar. Amongst several other things I have on my list that I want to do :)

I think I got all the questions. If I missed one then I apoligize. And again thank you to everyone for your comments :)

Your truck looks sick! :-jammin That tire size / lift combo looks perfect, and I love the long bed. Awesome truck! :-drink

ERIC 05 10-19-2011 11:37 AM

Do you have any pictures from the front?
do you know how much that wheel and tire combo weigh each?
did you change out the gears?

Looks awesome!
Thanks

I am out of town right now, but I will post some pics of the front when I get back in town on Monday.
The tire rim combo is kinda heavy but almost to much for 1 person to put in the back of a truck. Not sure of the exact weight though.
Did not change the gearing, and no problems.

VONxRUBENxLA 10-19-2011 01:22 PM

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SICK!!!! U NEED ALL CAPITALS FOR HOW GOOD IT LOOKS!!!! LOL

Very nice! What offset are those wheels? Im getting ready to pull the trigger on a set of wheels and tires. I'm gonna go with a -12 offset to get the tires out of the wells a little. I like the look of yours. I hope I dont ruin my paint but I like the look of the wider stance. Maybe a set of flares down the road for protection. My truck is pretty much a concrete queen, but I do need to get a little dirty now and then.

icemann21 10-26-2011 09:28 PM

Rim: 20 x 12 Alluminum
Lugs : 8 x 170 mm
Offset : -44
Backspacing: 4.75"
Load / lbs : 3500

CuNmUdF250 11-30-2011 11:50 PM

Man that rig looks tuff...that last pic showing front and side is frame worthy :-X22

cartmanea 12-01-2011 09:18 AM

Looks great! Another fan of cutouts and small lifts here :)

CuNmUdF250 12-01-2011 02:41 PM

I know this thread was old but I was trying to compare Icemans truck to a red F350 supercab on ebay that says its a 6" lift on 40s I think the 4" & 38s with cutouts look better especially from the front

The Metal Panda 12-01-2011 03:18 PM

Looks sick! nice work!
