Possible F250 Purchase

k,

So I have a line on a 95 F250 for sale fairly locally for $500. The truck looks to be in really good shape for it's age. The problem is they say it starts intermittently. Sometimes it will start, sometimes it won't. Before I drive out there about 1.5 hours away, what would any of you experts think might be causing the intermittent start. I'm thinking the solenoid, Ignition switch, and coolant temp switch are probably the culprit. One of them anyways. I was thinking about buying it and flipping it, or possibly keeping it and selling my dentside so I have something I can tow a camper and haul the family with. Anyone have any other insight as to what would cause it to sometimes start and sometimes not start?

My dad had an f250 with the 5.8 and i remember one day it wouldnt start but then 2 hours later it would fire right up. He changed out the ignition coil and it fixed his issue.

When you try the key does it do anything? How good does the connections to the batt and the sol look? Quick test would be to turn on the headlights and see if they look bright. If not, check out the ground for the truck. I know this is all simple stuff, but every once in a while its the simple stuff that gets overlooked. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt for it.

Oh well, I missed out. Someone got a smokin deal on it because the truck looked like it was mint and the person sold it for $500. Maybe next time. Guess I'll stick with my dentside for now.
