Tightening steering, leessen-stop wondering?
 

I am just about to head in to get the 2005 Super Duty's tranmission its 30 K service at the dealership.
In the last month the steerng box has gotten play in it, allowing the truck to wonder and the steering wheel to have some play in it.
Last wekend, with a full load, it was a tedious job to get us where we we going as the load seemed to make the problem more pronounced.
I asked around and I was told that there is some adjustment for this issue. Have any of you had this problem and had any success in eliminating the symptoms?

It might help somewhat, but usually if it's as bad as you say, something else is going on.

Yes, it was the steering gear!
 

Dealership just called and said that the steering gear needed to be replaced to rid the truck of the symtons I noticed.
