Zone Lift kit installed finally!!

Ok so I have been looking at different lift kits for a while now and I finally bought a Zone 4" Lift Kit for my 2005 Super Duty V10 4x4. Let me tell you that this kit is very well built, very heavy, strong Radius arm drop brackets nice smooth thick welds. New 1.5" solid track bar, rear 5" Blocks, Coil Springs. I bought the kit with the Nitro shocks they sell for a little extra. Took it out and wow feels like a different truck all together, very smooth I didn't think a truck could be that smooth. So I bought the kit direct from Zone, what a great company to deal with some of the nicest people to talk to, which I talked to about a dozen times. I ordered it back in April and it only took about 3days to get to my house. I just did the install June 4th and took about 6hrs to complete thats including adjusting the steering wheel back to center. If anyone is looking for a lift kit for their Super Duty I suggest you take a close look at Zone and talk to Mike Rogers "Sales / Tech Support" What a great guy and company to deal with. You can also have a live chat with the guys and ask any questions you might have about any products they offer.
One great thing about this kit is its Made in the USA, and has a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
If you have any questions about this kit let me know.
Thanks ~Gage~

Looks great. I plan on putting a 4.5" lift on mine as well but I had a hell of a time getting in the 2.5" spacers for my leveling kit, even with a coil spring compressor. Not sure how I'd get an even bigger coil in there. Did you take out the front driveshaft during installation?

davidjurss 06-19-2011 11:48 AM

I recently installed a leveling kit from Zone. Their product was great, and gave me a little bit more lift in the front end than advertised. I bought the 2.5 inch kit, but ended up with about 3 inches instead, and the adjustable track bar that comes with the kit worked great.

Called their sales number and spoke to Mike, who said the best way to even it out would be to install rear blocks to bring up the rear end. He got me the right blocks and u bolts to fix it all up. He was very helpful, and my blocks should be showing up here tomorrow!

If I get a full lift kit, I know exactly where I am going to be buying it from.

What I did was to use very tall jack stands I think they go up to 29" then I also use 6x6 timbers to build a platform for the jack stands. I also made some platforms for the floor jacks. To install the front springs I dropped the front axle all the way down, I didnt have to remove the driveshaft at all, I didnt use a coil spring compressor for this install.

My brush guard is made by Smittybilt, its a one piece made from marine grade stainless steel, I bought it back in 2006.

lol nice rig! Howd you attach the runnin board lights? Ive always wanted to do it!

CraigOutdoors 06-20-2011 08:45 PM

I like those running board lights too. That's pretty sweet. I'd like to know how you did that one too.

Looks like you've got it sitting real nice. Mine sits 1" higher in the front than the back. I'm planning to put some 350 blocks in. I'm getting a pair off of a F350CC, but I'm not sure if there is a difference between the blocks for the CC and the Reg Cab.
