Never been to Wyo or UTI. Only met one guy who did Wyo, but he was on the bodywork end, not mechanical. The guys I've known who went through UTI were morons... I don't know if it has to do with class sizes or what? I went through my c.c. program. Our classes were limited to 24 students and the first semester our instructors weeded out the "undesirables." We had state of the art stuff (dyno, trans dynos, newer alignment racks, up to date scan tools, access to online data (Alldata, Mitchell, ATRA) our instructors were top notch Master Techs with many, many, many years under their hats)... I was placed into a Ford dealership my second year (my interview consisted of a "Hey, your instructor thinks your great... when can you start?") and after screwing up both my shoulders and my right hand (no more worky on cars) my instructor went out of his way to find me other job opportunities. So all I can say is small programs = greater attention. Graduates of our program are highly sought after in our area as our program pumps out many quality techs. Definitely don't overlook your local community college!

the thing im not liking about our program here is they want you to take math and English classes too..
|
Our program was offered two ways, you could either get a degree from the college or a certificate of completion through the Auto program. I'm one business class shy of getting my degree through the college (need to finish that one day), but still got my certificate from the program. Also forgot to mention they offered an optional A/C class over the summer which allowed you to become MACS certified.
