RUST!!! part two.....

Greetings !!!

Found some rust on my cab corners the other day.....rust that i could put my finger though.. the driver's side has a hole about as big and as long as a guy's thumb on it, and the passenger side has a small hole... should I just suck it up and take it to a welding place? or try a home repair?? It's on the bottom, so there are no holes into the cab itself...

Whatever rust you first spot will get much bigger once you start playing with it.

The real question is do you really want to learn how to do bodywork.

A bunch of work, money, and you could have your truck tied up for a while.

You might find out you like it-you might not.

You will end up with a bunch of cool tools.

Cab corners are cheap. To put them in, you need to remove the bed, then cut out the bad metal. You need to weld them back in, to do it properly, but some use pop rivits. Some painting will be required. I have a couple of sets of cab corners for 80_ 86,you can use them on 87_96,the only differance is a small tab on the bottom, and the bed hides that. I can bring them to the show in Auther in Aug if you want a set.

Let a pro do it for a couple hundred bucks unless you dont care too much about what it looks like.
